Rebecca is currently the Costume Shop Manager at DeSales University and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Prior to relocating to the Lehigh Valley, Rebecca was the Costume Designer and Costume Shop Supervisor at the College of Wooster in Ohio.
Rebecca earned her MFA at the University of Houston in the Costume Technology Program. While at UH, Rebecca was the TA for Costume Technology, Costume Cutting and Draping, Fundamentals of Design, and Costume Design for the Stage. Rebecca also worked as Cutter/Draper, First Hand, and Crafts on departmental productions. She also designed the costumes for Intimate Apparel, Bus Stop, and Julius Caesar.
Before attending UH, Rebecca was the Costume Shop Director and Costume Designer at Cedar Crest College for eight seasons– designing and constructing costumes for more than 30 productions. A selection of Costume Design credits from Cedar Crest include Little Shop of Horrors, Polaroid Stories, Chicago, Eurydice, Metamorphoses, and many dance concerts. Rebecca developed and taught an Introduction to Stage Makeup course and constructed a Costume Technology segment to add to the Stagecraft course.
Previously, Rebecca worked at Imagination Costume, Las Vegas– a full-service professional attire design and manufacturing company. She also designed You Can’t Take It With You for the Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV.
As a Costume Design Intern at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre she designed Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd, A Raisin in the Sun, and The Outsiders.
Rebecca has also worked as a costume technician at the Santa Fe Opera and Utah Shakespearean Festival.
Rebecca has a MFA in Theatre– Costume Technology from the University of Houston and a BA in Theatre and History from Carroll University where she graduated cum laude.
